EDGECAM Gets Smart At Workflow Open House

EDGECAM, the production machining CAD/CAM software, will demonstrate their major new release at the Smart Manufacturing Workflow Open House which is taking place at CIS’ Product Proving Centre in High Wycombe.

The Open House, hosted by CIS, is a 5-Axis event held in partnership with Grob and EDGECAM. The focus of the two days is Smart Workflow, which considers all the stages of the manufacturing process and many suppliers will be available for discussions on a number of topics including CAM, tool pre-setting, spindle tooling, balancing, shrink fit machining, metrology, work holding and fixturing.
 
EDGECAM will also showcase their latest release at the event - 2016 R1, which contains over 30 important new and enhanced items of CAD and CAM functionality for milling, turning, and wire EDM.

Wesley Tonks, EDGECAM’s Strategic Partnership Manager said “we are very excited to be supporting both our partners, CIS and Grob at this event, which will give visitors the chance to see the latest Workflow technology within the manufacturing sector. We are also excited to show the latest software enhancements in the 2016 R1 release”.

The Smart Manufacturing Open House runs from 9th – 10th March, (10am – 4pm each day) and also includes live machining on a Grob G350 5-Axis machine.
